“But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object, evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government and to provide new guards for their future security.” These words were written by Thomas Jefferson in the Declaration of Independence. He meant that that freedom was a God given right, but it was our duty as citizens to take it upon ourselves to safeguard our own liberty. Our government continues down a very slippery road from which there is no return. Government spending and control over our lives is continuing down this path. The “Stimulus Bill” that has done nothing to help the economy but added billions in new debt, the “Cap and Spend” bill which is the largest tax increase in the history of the world. This bill will increase the amount of money you spend on utilities, tell you what kind of vehicle to drive, can prevent you from selling your house, and will cause thousands of people to lose their jobs when companies decide to move overseas to escape tighter regulations here in the U.S. By the way this bill will also cost several coal producing states, example West Virginia and Kentucky thousand of coal mining jobs. This bill does nothing to help the environment except to make Al Gore feel better, and anyone who has a brain knows that human caused “Global Climate Change” has never been proven and is, in my opinion, junk science. These bills will make it tougher for our nation to come out of these current recession which will give the liberals more excuse to pass new laws which will further government control of business, our freedoms and lives. This will also saddle our children with a out of control debt, excessive taxes, and a nation partially owned by Chinese banks. Also a nation where the government controls the major automobile companies, major banks, and our health care industry. Just ask yourself this question; When has anything the government has run, ever been done successfully, or with any common sense. It scares me to think what else this government is capable of.
Also the President is going overseas and telling the world that despite seventy six percent of Americans call themselves Christians that we are no longer a Christian nation and calling a large Muslim nation. This scares me, where are his loyalties?
As Thomas Jefferson said in the Declaration of Independence, maybe we need to change our government. By this, I mean as I have said before that maybe some states should consider secession and forming a new nation. Georgia’s State Legislature has already considered this last month and I call on all liberty and freedom loving people to call on their states to consider the same. Let us send a message that began with the Tax Day tea parties, that we Americans (especially those from the south) are sick and tired of being ruled by California and New England liberals, we are Christians, we are freedom lovers, we are tired of being taxed too death, and are tired of the government spending our children’ inheritance before we can even make it.
